The Techstreet database includes selected Australian and ISO standards relevant to teaching and learning at Wodonga TAFE, including those referenced in the National Construction Code (NCC). If you have already installed Acrobat Reader and the FileOpen plugin, and created an account for Techstreet, you can access the database from the following link. First time users please follow the instructions below for setting up access to Techstreet.
As Techstreet continues to maintain and enhance our applications, we need to perform an upgrade that may require user action once complete. Specifically, DRMed PDFs that were downloaded before April 13, 2023 may need to be re-downloaded. In other words, if you see a “Invalid parameters. Please re-download this document” error when you try to open a secured PDF from Techstreet Enterprise, you will need to re-download that PDF to access it.
NOTE: If you are using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge as your browser: These web browsers have a built-in reader that will interfere with FileOpen. On the DOWNLOAD button, right click, choose "save link as" or "save target as" - save the document to your desktop, documents or downloads (it cannot be save on a shared drive and do not change the file name). Once saved, open the document directly from your computer using Acrobat Reader.
TIP: If you need to access downloaded standards, don't select Logout when you exit the database - just close the browser tab instead. Just be aware that it may take 10 minutes to release the single user online viewing license if you have used this method.
In order to open a standard in Secure PDF format, you will need to install Adobe Acrobat Reader and the free Adobe-approved FileOpen plug-in. You may already have Adobe Acrobat on your computer. FileOpen is compatible with the following versions of Acrobat:
